Andrew Perks

Andrew is a trained refrigeration/mechanical engineer from Glasgow, Scotland where he undertook his apprenticeship with a major refrigeration company. Since arriving in South Africa in 1974 he has served as a Contract Manager, Project Engineer, Design Engineer and a Company Director. He opened his own refrigeration contracting and service company, and later his own cold store facility. He has over 60 years of valuable hard gained experience in this industry.

He is now dedicating his time to recycling this knowledge back into the industry. He was part of the SANS 10147:2014 steering committee, is a registered SAQCCGas accredited Category C refrigeration inspector/designer, and a Merseta accredited Assessor & Moderator.

Christopher Kent

Chris has been in the refrigeration industry since 2014. After completing his degree in mechanical engineering, he worked in the commercial HVAC-R sector before moving to the industrial refrigeration industry where he was a project engineer for ammonia refrigeration installations throughout Southern and Eastern Africa.

He has been involved in project management, designing and troubleshooting refrigeration systems as well as SANS compliance of refrigeration plants.

Chris is a registered SAQCCGas accredited Category C refrigeration inspector/designer, and an accredited Assessor.
